Architect / Drafts Person Job Responsibilities:
- Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
- Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
- Produces construction documents in Revit.
- Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications
Architect / Drafts Person Qualifications / Skills:
- A creative problem solver with extensive design experience, strong technical knowledge, and construction detailing skills.
- Effective communicator who can clearly and concisely articulate ideas both verbally and in writing.
- Self-Motivated, disciplined individual who can work independently and within a team, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Continuous Learner who keeps up with the latest design trends and technologies, actively seeking continuing education to stay current.
- Results-Oriented individual with strong planning and organizational skills who consistently delivers high quality detailed work on time.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
- 3-5 years of architectural experience with a portfolio of relevant work completed within the last year
- Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is required
